Baby elephants
Pet Elephant having babies......
Now that I have your attention, I would like to invite everyone to the open day we are having on Sunday afternoon at the practice. It's our pleasure and privilege to be able to open up the entire practice for you to have a look around, and see what all of the fuss (I have created) has been about!!
Not only will we have displays in theatre, and some interesting Xrays on display, but also, we will have a few drug company reps around, as well as all of my own staff to answer any pet related queries.
In addition, there will be 10% off all food and other accessories purchased on the day. Even if you want something that's not in stock on the day, if it's ordered and paid for on Sunday, you'll still get 10% off.
Only 8 miles from Bankeyfields, loads of free parking, free face painting for the kids (although there's also a kiddies play centre right next door to the practice); come and have a look around. I'm not just wanting new clients (although that's a bonus)- I genuinely enjoy showing people around the practice.
See you Sunday, 12-4pm.

Feedback from the open day.
Another excellent day was had by all. We had approximately 150 visitors to the practice (slightly lower than the 250 last time)- but an excellent number given the weather, and the Manchester match!
My staff (2 qualified nurses, 1 receptionist) and myself were assisted by reps from Royal Canin (food company) and Bayer Animal Health, along with 3 family freinds. Mum baked hundreds of mince pies- still some left, so call in for one if you're passing! Mum and her friend served up cups of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mulled wine tea (!) along with soft drinks for the kids.
We had Stiles Meadow rescue centre here for a couple of hours with a display. Also there was free face painting for the children, so by 2pm, we had lions, tigers, spiders webs, and one hamster (!!?) running around the place.
Bella made an accidental star appearance- someone managed to let her out of her kennel. This took everyone by surprise as she sniffed and scooted her way around everyone!
We still have some goody bags left (cat, and rabbit owners- feel free to call in and collect one- they're free!), and lots of vouchers for 10% off a particular range of flea treatments. However, PLEASE NOTE this range is a precription type (Pete- when you need more for Millie, you would get 10% off). However, if your pet has been seen by us, that's not a problem. If you aren't yet registered, but would like 10% off your pets next flea treatment, all you need to do is make a FREE nurse appointment, for a 'Free flea check'- or ask your own vet for a prescription to be sent directly to us, and we can then dispense it- then you too are elligable for the discount.
You might think fleas are only a summer problem, but who's reached for the central heating switch recently.....? Any eggs and larvae in the carpets are actived once the heating comes on, so fleas are around all year long.
Many thanks to those who attended, and helped make the day so enjoyable.
Glad it all went well and
