Starting a baby/toddler group?
Hi Everyone!
Once the children go back to school in a fortnight I will once again be all alone at home with only a 2 year old for company. Would any mums (or dads!) be interesting in getting together with the babies/toddlers and forming our own little tots group?
It would be nice to get to know some of families on the estate, and as our children will be growing up together, lets give them a helping hand to make some friends of their own age who live close by.
I don't mind hosting at my house if anyone is interested? I have ALOT of toys for all age groups (boys and girls as I have 1 of each!).

Whats new on Bankeyfields
Somewhere that might be of interest to such a group is a place called 'The Ceramic Experience' which is a playcentre and ceramic painting place. It happens to be the business next door to mine, just this side of Congleton (only 8.5 miles from Bankeyfields). As far as I know, they offer free 'soft play' which I think is the ball pool, with slide etc. They also offer refreshments, including sandwiches etc.
It's run by a lovely group of women, and always seems to be quite busy- especially at weekends when they have lots of kiddies birthday parties etc.
Well worth a look!
Hi Lisa
That sounds like a really good idea, it will be nice if there is a network of mums (and dads) and tots. It will also be nice to know that there is always someone close by you can relate to and let your little ones play with.
I'll ask my wife to see if she's interested, hopefully she will be.
We have two boys, 4 and 21 months, and a little girl on the way. The little guy is going to miss his big brother like crazy when he starts Golden Hill in the new term, so it will be good for him to make new chums.
If you need any extra help and support with the website, just contact me or sharky using the private messaging system.
That is a brilliant idea, if you need any help in promoting it, as web monkey says, get in touch, we will be more than happy to promote this.
Thanks for your support. It's something I've been thinking of doing for a while now. It hit me over the holidays how many families with young children live on the Estate, yet I know so few of them.
If there is to be a paper newsletter soon, could it perhaps be mentioned? If there is, me and my kids wouldn't mind helping with distributing them across the estates. May even get to meet a few people!
Not hearing very much on the newsletter side of things, I'm desperate for some info as I really want the site advertised in it as well.
I know theres a few parents on this site with small kids, so as the site grows you'll meet more and more people. word will get around.
In the mean time, you might have seen the leaflet on the home page, I can make some mods to that and we can get that posted around the estate.

Hi Lisa
Have you had any more thoughts about teh Baby/Toddler group.
Not given up on the idea - it's just been one illness after another since in my house just lately! As soon as I've "de-germed" and everyone is well, I'll arrange something. Hopefully soon!
Yeah, we had the sniffles as soon as Kie started back school. The little-un liam he's still got green snot drops every time I look at him.
