Monday 22nd June 7:00pm (19:00) - Bankeyfields Neighbourhood Watch Meeting

Posted: Wed, 17/06/2009 - 1:30pm

Monday 22nd June 7:30pm (19:30) 7:00pm (19:00) - Bankeyfields Neighbourhood Watch Meeting. Sandyford Cricket Club.
New Venue We've decided that holding our meetings in a pub is very nice, but does exclude members of our community, and can be awkward to get to to, so we've changed venue from the ever brilliant Rifleman Public house to Sandyford Cricket Club, is within walking distance for most.

Full agenda will be posted shortly, here's the short list for now.

  • Harry Hancocks update.
  • Sandyford Fire Station update.
  • Should Bankeyfields have a residents association?

More Follows.

Thanks for looking into this problem, and the plans look like a step in the right direction.

My question I'd like putting forward, is will some of the embankment be cut back, so visability is increased, because looking at the plans that doesn't look the case.

Also what signage will be looked at.

Mike. At present it does not look like the embankment will be cut back. There will be some signage change. I have a hard copy of the plans although we are hoping to get an updated electronic copy to put on this site. I have also a questionare and suggestion sheets for council feedback. If you or anyone else would like to fill one in please let me know on this forum or P.M me via this web site. Myself and some other people who attended the meeting will be going around the estates trying to get as many of these forms filled in as possible.

Mike Sorry for late reply had some IT issues. If you come to the meeting on Monday you can put your questions forward. The more people that support this the more likely we are to get the result we want. If you can not make it I will ask for you and reply on here.

Can't make it, but if you would - I'd appreciate it

Hi Steve, I'm working away next week, so I can't make it, but if you don't mind, that would be great.

I've also had another thought, I noticed that someone from the fire service is coming, could they incorporate any more into the road layout, that could help us improve the road safety.

Cheers

Well we were promised that the mini roundabout at the Jct John Rhodes Way & Spitfire Way would be landscaped by 24th of this month but it has been done today. A big thanks to all who got involved to get this result. Must give Councilor Megan Ryan who has given us her support a thank you also a lady from the estate who likes to remain anonymous but walked her socks off on Saturday night.
