The last Neighborhood Watch Meeting

Posted: Tue, 08/12/2009 - 3:15pm

A big thanks to everyone who turned up to the Neighborhood Watch meeting last night. We really appreciate your support.

Also another big thanks goes out to Steve Morris, Stoke-on-Trent Neighborhood Watch Co-ordinator, who I felt like I wasted his time last night, but still grateful for him turning up, and offering his sound advice and experience, and also for his NHW "go away signs" for your front door. He also volunteered some 30 MPH stickers for wheely bins.

Lastly thanks goes out to Megan Ryan, councilor for Tunstall, for her efforts and contributions.

If any one wants a NHW area sign for your front door, drop us an email using the contact us form (top menu, towards the right)

Minutes will be available from Gordy next week.

Apologies

  • Fri, 11/12/2009 - 9:07am

Apologies to anyone who turned up at the last Neighborhood Watch Meeting, to find the lights out.

We were forced to move to the cushion pub at 7:15, because of cock up in the planning department.

Basically the lad that opens up and runs the bar didn't show, leaving us out in the cold.

Sorry.

And thanks to The Cushion Inn for letting us pile in on a cold winters night.

Minutes from December's meeting

  • Wed, 30/12/2009 - 7:56pm

Sorry to hassle but are the mins from December's meeting on line yet, and the date / time for the January meeting please.

Minutes

  • Wed, 30/12/2009 - 8:13pm

Popeye will put the minutes on line shortly, date for next meeting has not been set but we are looking at the 11th or 25th January so as to get as many people as possible to attend.

The next meeting

  • Wed, 30/12/2009 - 9:16pm

The next meeting's name is going to be changed from a Neighbourhood Watch meeting to a community meeting as the things we discuss normally cover a bigger range of topics other than just crime in the area.
Just a taster of some of the items on the agenda are:

Progression of the Fire Station by the Staffordshire Fire Service.
Locations of two further grit bins.
Walks in staffordshire

and a whole lot more that directly effects your community.
